A medieval mosaic floor

Mosaic floor in the cathedral of Auch, south-western France. The cathedral contains a mixture of different epochs: the basic structure is gothic, French medieval, but there are also a lot of Italian medieval influences. Floods (the river Gent passes through the town) and the resulting restorations have contributed to the mix.
