USA gets a new ambassador to Pyongyang

Soon a new ambassador will replace the current one in North Korea. The distinguished diplomat has been on an intensive training course at the US embassy in Seoul, South Korea, for the last six months (some say nine months). He has studied not only the Korean language, but also North Korean culture, economy, politics etc.
He is the incoming British ambassador to North Korea. His predecessor was always regarded by the North Koreans as a US spy. Considering the Blairite lack of an independent foreign policy, and the fact that the British Foreign Office seems unable even to teach a foreign language to its ambassadors without help from the Bush administration, they will probably regard the new guy as more of the same. And who is to blame them?
